Berbice and Demerara to contest final of GCB U-16 Inter-County

Berbice and Demerara will contest the final of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) first-ever Under-16 Inter-County 50-over competition, following the completion of the third and final round of preliminary matches on Thursday.

Berbice emerged top of the points table with three wins from three games, while Demerara ended second with two wins and a loss. Essequibo took third with a solitary win from three matches, while the Select XI finished bottom of the table, losing all three games.

The grand final is set for Saturday (February 21) at the GCC Ground, Bourda.

Gautam Dhanraj picked up a five-wicket haul for Select XI against Essequibo

On Thursday, Berbice defeated Demerara by seven wickets at the Lusignan Ground, while Essequibo prevailed by 54 runs over the Select XI at the LBI Ground.
