Another 2,000 agreements of sale signed- Croal

Minister of Housing, Collin Croal, has announced significant progress in the processing of land ownership documents, revealing that more than 2,000 agreements of sale were signed within the past three months.

“Over the past three months over 2,000 agreement of sale were signed.

“That means therefore we are working also as quickly as possible to have the titles available,” Croal disclosure in providing a recent update.

According to Croal, the ministry is aiming to have a significant number of titles ready for distribution by International Building Expo 2026.

Persons who have signed agreements in Lusignan Phase One and Two, Good Hope Phase Two, Vriesland and La Parfaite Harmonie/Catherina are among those expected to benefit.

Additionally, he disclosed that agreements of sale will soon be signed for house lots in Leonora West and De Kinderen West.

He expressed confidence that titles for Leonora West will also be ready in time for the upcoming expo.

In Region Six, Croal added that a special exercise is being planned for residents of Villages Number 75 and Number 76 in Berbice to facilitate the distribution of their land titles.

Croal emphasised that while land allocation remains important, the ministry is placing increased focus on ensuring full home ownership through the timely processing of agreements of sale and certificates of title.
