While these houses will accommodate the scores of visitors expected, the President explained that the revenues earned from the rental will then be used as a down payment at the commercial banks for housing solutions for the “poorest people.”

“… These are the things that will really change the face of the country,” the President said.
Additionally, the President said that there are ongoing plans to convert residents’ houses into ‘Bed and Breakfast’ spaces that will serve the dual purpose of earning an income for residents while providing accommodation to the expected visitors.

This year’s CPL will be held in August and September and Guyana will host the finals of the ‘Biggest party in sport’ alongside a massive cricket carnival.
