In the Nations Cup, Guyana has 65 points, seven more than Barbados, with Trinidad and Tobago third on 51 and Jamaica fourth with 24, represented by Senna Summerbell, who finished only two races.

In an invited comment to News Room Sport, the ace Guyanese car racer stated he did some gym work and despite there being no personal preparation on track in close to three years, he still felt relatively confident given the quality field.

Given the close time in qualifying, Jeffrey had to be consistent, and he thanked his pit crew for their sublime support, stating, “I am pleased with the results going into the second round.”

With nearly 50 laps under his belt, Jeffrey had been steadily improving, claiming pole position with a time of 58.826s, just three-hundredths seconds quicker than 2018 RCC Champion Stuart Maloney and four-tenths ahead Mark Maloney.
