Chief Executive Officer of V-Net Communications, Safraz Sheriffudeen (right), hands over the new cricket bat to Guyana Amazon Warriors selectee, Junior Sinclair
Sheriffudeen congratulated Sinclair on his selection as one of the two Under-23 players in the squad, and knowing that either one of the players has to play a minimum of five group matches, he charged the young off-spinner to make the most of the opportunities, and aim next for the West Indies team.
With Guyanese and West Indies all-rounder, Keemo Paul, as their long-standing Brand Ambassador, the CEO reminded the small gathering that they would continue to support the development of youths in Guyana.
Over the past months, V-Net has increased its support to numerous young cricketers, many of whom have gained national team selection.
Sinclair, who plays for the V-Net’s cricket team, was most elated and appreciative of the kind gesture, stating it will certainly go a long way in helping his preparation for both the 6XITY and the Caribbean Premier League.
The lad from Berbice further disclosed he is looking forward to the tournament, and wants to represent the brand, and most importantly, Guyana, to the best of his ability.
