Off-spinner Ashmini Munisar produced a match-winning spell to lead Guyana to victory over Trinidad and Tobago in the CG United Women’s Super50 Cup on Monday in St. Kitts.
Munisar picked up 5-15 off eight overs as Trinidad and Tobago were dismissed for 95 from 42 overs, chasing 157 for victory.
Leg-spinner Nyia Latchman supported with 2-24, as Guyana won by 61 runs.
Guyana earlier made 156-8 from the allotted 50 overs, with skipper Shemaine Campbelle continuing her fine form with 52 off 81 balls. It was Campbelle’s second fifty of the tournament.
Shabika Gajnabi made 33, while Munisar with 11 and Mandy Mangru and Realanna Grimmond with 10 each also supported. West Indies spinner Karishma Ramharack took 3-26 and LeeAnn Kirby 2-24.
Guyana, with three wins from four matches, will play Jamaica in their final game on Wednesday.
