Police are investigating the murder of a 70-year-old man, who was riddled with bullets in front his Middle Road, La Penitence, Georgetown home Sunday night.
Dead is Clynton Chase.
Reports are that Chase lived alone. He was deported from the United States more than ten years ago.
Police Headquarters in a statement said that Chase’s body was discovered around 22:30 hrs on the northern parapet in front his house.
According to the Police, the dead man’s granddaughter, 52-year-old Michelle Ward claimed that she received a called from an unknown number around 22:10 hrs Sunday.
She said the caller related that Chase had fallen from his motorcycle in front his house.
Upon her arrival at the scene, Michelle found Clynton lying motionless on his back. His body bore wounds on the right side jaw and left upper arm and chest, Police Headquarters said in the statement.
Chase was pronounced dead at the scene. His body presently at Memorial Gardens mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
Chase was arrested and charged in the past for robbery and marijuana possession for the purpose of trafficking.
