Harpy Eagles reach 181-5 on day two after Volcanoes make 339

Veteran pair Johnson and Vishaul Singh added 32 for the fourth wicket, but Johnson was bowled by McSween for 28 to make 95-4.

Singh and wicketkeeper Anthony Bramble revived the innings with a 46-run partnership, but Lewis would strike again, trapping Bramble leg before for 26.

Singh and Keemo Paul then batted Eagles to safety with an unbroken 40-run stand for the sixth wicket. Singh is not out on 40 and Paul is unbeaten on 20.

Lewis has so far taken 3-47 and McSween 2-44.

Earlier, it was the overnight pair McSween and Lewis who further defied Eagles after Volcanoes resumed on 277-9.

The last-wicket pair extended their partnership to a record-breaking 124 runs. It was ended when left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie had McSween caught behind for a topscore of 86 (103 balls; 9x4s, 2x6s).

Lewis was left not out on 31 (111 balls; 3x4s). Alick Athanaze made 68 and Devon Thomas 52 on the opening day.

Bowling for Eagles, Motie took 4-62, Paul 3-84 and Veerasammy Permaul 3-88.
