The accident occurred at around 06:00hrs. An ambulance was summoned and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by a Doctor Singh, according to the police.
The driver and owner of the minibus (BAB 1155) 29-year-old Dencel Abrams of Supply, East Bank Demerara, remains in police custody assisting with investigations.
Police said no trace of alcohol was found in his system.
