“… we have USD $8 million budgeted for a new water treatment plant to come right here,” Croal said.
That treatment plant, according to him, will see about 10,000 residents living from Coldingen to Haslington, ECD benefiting from improved water services.
Meanwhile, Croal acknowledged that the poor quality of water is a big problem along the entire coastland. In fact, he said only 52 per cent of the coastland receives treated water.
But in three years’ time, Croal promised that about 90 per cent of the coastland will receive treated water as the government plans multibillion dollar investments in treatment facilities.
