Dhudnauth Parbattie, a 66-year-old labourer of Suddie Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast, was Thursday charged for sexually assaulting a woman in October 2023.
Parbattie, also called Ramesh, has been accused of assaulting a woman in Suddie last year.
The matter was Suddie Magistrate’s Court, before Magistrate Esther Sam. Pabattie pleaded not guilty and was granted $50,000 bail. He, however, has to report to the Suddie Police Station every Monday at 09:00 hrs.
The case was adjourned to March 1 at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court for disclosure of statements.

Kevin Gordon, a 47-year-old farmer of Henrietta, Essequibo Coast, was placed on $300,000 bail pending further court action after he allegedly engaged in sexual activity with a child.
Gordon appeared virtually last week at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Esther Sam where the charge was read to him.
He was not required to plead and was placed on $300,000 bail.
The case has been postponed to March 1 at Suddie Magistrate’s Court.
